Car Rental Under 21?

Hi All,

 

Does anyone know of a company around Birmingham whom rent cars to under 21?

 

I need to hire a car for a day or so and i am failing to find anyone whom will do it for someone whom is 20.

might be easier to book a test drive certainn car companies let you book 24h test drives i believe peugeot do/did might be worth a look

I believe enterprise do as long as you have a rubbish car

Enterprise only do 23-24 and then 25+

Better to try small local company rather than mega-companies who have rigid procedures. Managed it once years ago - the way out was to buy insurance separately, which wasn't cheap but did work as the company agreed to the deal once details had been sorted. Might also try garages which have courtesy cars, which I guess will be insured for under-21 customers?

Whenever i've had a courtesy car i've had to get it from enterprise because the garages wouldnt give it to me being under 21. I've looked into it and found out why... I'm on a business contract with enterprise through Arval (i only use them when the company car is in for work), so the age limits don't count. It turns out i'm very lucky - some of the cars i had at 19 - 23 from enterprise are 30+ only :S how ridiculous. That's even on own insurance.

Is there anyone you can borrow a car from and insure on a short term basis?

I could not get one place to rent me a car when I wanted to book one whilst my car way away for a week, ended up talking the local SEAT dealer to give me one of theirs. Think it cost them to insure but I do a bit on the side for them so it helps
