Exchange 2007 tools - for windows 7 64 bit

Anyone ?

It's a 64 bit OS [ Exchange ] - I'm running a 64 bit OS [ Windows 7 ] - why can I only find the 32 bit version of the tools ? Is this some sort of microsoft joke ?

 

Or shall I just install the 32 bit tools on my windows 7 64 bit OS ? Will this work - anyone ?

If you download Exchange 2007 x64 and just install the tools that should work fine for you.

 

The 32 Bit Tools are generally installed on the client side as when using powershell to import/export PST file you have to use the 32bit Exchange Powershell.

 

So, yeah install using the x64 media for exchange do a custom install and just select management tools.

As James said, the 64-bit management tools are on the Exchange disc. 2007 should be fairly similar to 2010...
