aerospacemango Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 BBC - Newsbeat - Son writes off his dad's £275,000 supercar Police are investigating whether he was speeding when he lost control of the car on the 50mph road. I'm guessing that won't be a very long investigation???
Dos_Box Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Wow. That car disintergrates really well, lucky they both got out ok. A bit of a Ferris Bueller moment that one!
MK-2 Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 I'm sure the used car places around me would still sell it for a few grand as "one previous owner - cat d insurance"
tech_guy Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 I wonder what the insurance premium is going to be next time with him on it.....?
joe90bass Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 BBC - Newsbeat - Son writes off his dad's £275,000 supercar I'm guessing that won't be a very long investigation??? If I'm honest at 19 years old, in a supercar, I think I would have at some point been speeding..... Come to think of it at 19 years old in my mothers 1.0L Metro I probably was........
aerospacemango Posted April 14, 2011 Author Posted April 14, 2011 I remember being 19, and barrelling down the M11 at 100, in my 1.3 escort! (That's 23 years ago, so I can't get done for it now!!) I don't think that car was EVER the same, after that!!
gerardsweeney Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 If that were my car, I don't think my foot would ever tire of kicking his a$$
aerospacemango Posted April 14, 2011 Author Posted April 14, 2011 I'd be saying something like..... "Ok son...What's done is done, and you know you've made a mistake. I appreciate your apology, but you must realise that from now until the end of the time, you are my b*tch!!! You will do everything that i say!!!"
maark Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 You let your 20 year old son out in a car that does 0 to 60 in less than 3 secs - crazy if you ask me.
CESIL Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 The first phrase that comes to my mind is "more money than sense"...
FN-GM Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 The man was driving with a 19-year-old female passenger and both of them walked away from the accident with minor injuries. Sounds like he was trying to impress someone.....
gshaw Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 You let your 20 year old son out in a car that does 0 to 60 in less than 3 secs - crazy if you ask me. With a girl in the passenger seat as well... distraction and showing off at the same time was never going to end well
