Print Release Station

We have recently purchased Impero and will be using it to manage printing within the school for both staff and students.

 

We also want to encourage staff to use our reporographics machines for larger documents or for multiple print outs.

 

We have someone who works in the reprographics department full time and don't want staff printing huge documents while he is photocopying.

 

Does anyone know of any software that will allow us to setup a print release station for our photocopiers, I know the paid for version of PaperCut has this facility, I just wanted to know if there were any other alternatives out there.

PCounter sounds like it will do exactly what you need, we use it on a similar basis to a degree.

+1 for papercut, we have 3 papercut release stations now.

Have you tried the CPI system for a self service pay per print option using a credit or debit card? It should solve your copy problem. It works like a coin-op but takes credit cards. Fast and Easy !
