We are using Bing strict search as it seemed more secure on a number of key words then google image with forced safe search.

The search term is "money euro" which should not be an issue.

5th row down is some dodgey NSFW images hosted by PicShare - Image Hosting and Image Upload

When you click the image (wanted to check if the host was blocked or not) bing brings up a close up of the previous image and seems to 'ignore' the main search results in this pages results summary in the header. I have reported the image to Bing CS.

I went onto bing, set the safesearch to strict and couldn't see anything that should be blocked.

Maybe it's a case of the safesearch dropping down to moderate. [which IIRC is the default level.]

Is it easy to block students searching with medium or no safesearch? Never really looked into it as my previous place had all image sites blocked totally

With google, if you disable the ability to store cookies [after you've set it to strict filtering] it should stay.

You could also set up an account [auto-login] which has the option to disable anyone changing the safesearch settings.

Yes - @ moderate I saw some lady parts.

@sidewinder; it is perfectly possible with a decent filter (and some bad ones) to enforce strict safe search, and this is highly advisable even for staff (who might search by accident.. on a projector/whiteboard... there's been teachers prosecuted for such things (of course this was in the US..))
