Italc and Ranger Remote in a VDI environment

We are running a Citrix based VDI solution on 50 of our computers. We currently use Italc for classroom management. This has worked superbly on on physical PC's, but is slow, clunky and worst of all, when the teacher wants to 'take control' of a workstation, performance is eratic to say the least.

 

We have the option of going for a paid for product such as Ranger Remote, as this apparently offers for support of VDI based PC's. But ideally, would stick with italc.

 

Has anyone managed to 'fine tune' italc for this purpose?

hmmm could be a drivers issue somewhere - not tried it in a VDI environment!
