I've been given a laptop by a nice member of staff who doesn't want their personal laptop anymore (has viruses and dead battery). It has a Windows XP media center 2005 sticker on it and of course there are no CD's and the recovery process seems to be shafted. What is the easiest way of obtaining the software as I have the license to use it. In the past I've used a torrent, but I hate using them for fear of viruses or bad links. Is there a easier way I'm missing. I won't use serial cracked versions as I want to sell this laptop legitimately and not have a bad reputation or comeback on it.

I believe Media Center 2005 uses the same serial as XP Professional. When you initially install XP, during setup it says XP Professional, but then further on during setup you insert disc 2 and this installs the Media Center bits.

As long as the SHA-1 checksums of the ISOs match the ones shown below (taken from TechNet) you can be 100% sure the discs haven't been tampered with. :)
