One of our boards is having issues with the pen. At first the teacher said it wasnt working with the pen, so i rebooted etc and it seemed to come to life. But when i went to calibrate everytime i tried to click the +'s nothing happened. When i started stabbing around the board after a minute it would register the pen click but then stop again. So i currently have a board that registers the pen movements but wont calibrate so i unusable. Any ideas?

Tired a different pen no change, the board is connected via USB.

Try connecting a different laptop or using a different usb port? If it behaves the same it would lead me to think the board is faulty.

Erm, if im honest no...i got myself confuzzled wondering why it wouldnt connect but then realised that was for serial, not USB. (it's one of those days!)

She said she went to write the date and thats how she realised the pen wasnt working.

I have swapped USB but will try that again. Will try a different laptop.

You say you rebooted...was that the computer or the board or both?

Most commonly I find that resetting the board by unplugging the power lead and then reconnecting brings the board back to life...

try put an earth cable from the VGA cable connector going into the back of the computer onto somwhere on the computer case. Especially if your projectors power cable is a figure of 8 as it had no earth cable. This sometimes send interference to down to the board.
