Hi Guys,

When I'm creating forms in Access 2007 they open up full screen - even if they are small forms. In Access 2003 they used to open up at the size they were designed.

Does anyone know how to make them open up at the smaller size and set it as default on a per form basis?

Cheers

Hmm - maybe I'm missing something, but I'm designing my forms small (as in the screen shot) - yet they are opening up full screen. Hopefully the pictures below can show what I am experiencing. I assumed as in Access 2003 that the window (when not in design mode) would open the same size.

Ah, your design windows is maximised as you can't see window handles on the side only the design limit of the form, if you can find the restore button for the design windows so that you have a standard resizeable window showing around your form in design view then it will take these bounds as the ones that it uses when displaying them. Don't have 2007 on this box to give a screenshot unfourtunalty but I'm sure you'll be able to find it.

Hi Sinack,

I've been looking for them all morning :-) There must be an interface reset button somewhere. I keep resizing my window as I'm running W7/Access2007 in a Parallels for Mac window.

In the first screen grab in design mode at the top right there is the little square, right click on this and go to properties --> window state --> vbNormal instead of vbMaximised ( at least thats the option in access 2003 from what I re call..

From memory (I don't have office on this laptop).... Can't you right click on the background in design mode -> properties -> then manually configure the size settings? Edited by p858snake
