Clock changes

Since there are no posts about this I guess it must be just me? This morning my computer clock display showed a two hour forward change rather than just the one that I was expecting! That only happened on the desktop running Win 7, the laptop (WinXP) went forward one hour.

 

Anyone give an explanation or possible cause, please?

No dual boot and, as far as I know, no time sync either (whatever that is). Where do I look to check?

It would be a (badly written) third party app, the integrated stuff all just grab a time value at gmt or utc and then apply the local offset +12 in my case. It does not sound like you have any dodgey softwareof this nature on your system as you would knowabout it.

Windows7 here. No dual boot. System clock showing the correct time without my intervention.

Thanks both, I'll have a dig around. Might be that Acronis did something at startup, I'll check the logs.

my windows 7 is informing me my system is set to go back 1 hour on sunday 3rd april at 3am..

 

Whchi is good. It will mean that 3pm UK kickoffs on a saturday become midnight here, rather than 2am that they are now.

if you set the correct date and time in the bios, save and exit and boot back to windows 7 does it still set the wrong date / time or does it stay the same ?

 

I presume your regional settings are correct ie GMT as apposed to something else on windows 7 ?

I would agree with the above, check that your clock is set to GMT.

 

It shouldn't make any difference, but are all your keyboard settings and language settings set up as English UK?
