Academy Personnel/Payroll and Finance software

I've been asked to find out what other people are using/planning to use as academies for their personnel/payroll and finance/accounts packages.

 

Please can someone add to our current list of:

 

Sage - they do packages for both

FMS - for accounts only (they don't include tools to do payroll)

 

Any others? Also, if you don't run your own payroll internally, can you say which company you use to do it for you?

As I recall, we use Access Accounts..as to personnel, Simply Personnel rings a distinct bell...

How are they doing Payroll? FMS doesn't have payroll included though does it?

We use Opera 2, very restricted bit of kit so we are looking at Sage 200 which seems alot better.

We've got Corero's Resource accounts package, which I'm quite pleased with.

 

HR is external - can't remember the company until I see the next payslip...

FMS has the correct bells and whistles for Academy Schools with the Spring release, but I'm not sure about Payroll as we use an external company for that.

Its the payroll bit that's the issue here.

 

SIMS/FIMS has no external integration with any payroll system as far as we've been told by Capita. Meaning that if we use it, we end up having to run 2 systems - one maintaining payroll, and one maintaining finance and personnel.

 

What we ideally would like is a system which integrates across the 2 areas so we don't have duplication of information.

 

Not to mention, we may end up moving away from SIMS.net and FMS.

 

If you use external providers for Payroll, please tell me who, as we need names.

The company we use is Mazars, based in London but apparently that is no issue. The contact I was given was Stuart Law Tel 020 70634213.

The one we are looking at is PS Financials which apparently a lot of academies use.

We use PASS for our accounts and payroll systems, although we aren't an academy thought i'd through it in.

I am just looking at this and there is a payroll system called Earnie, which integrates with FMS/SIMS

Have you a URL for Access Accounts? The names so generic its hard to google for.
