The 'Hello' from newbies

More and more people are missing the 'introduce yourself here' forum and also the frappr map.

Any chance of a line telling people where to go to do this on the front page when you first access Edugeek?

It seems a shame to not be able to see where everyone is.

I for one have a look at the 'introduce....' forum every now and again to see if anyone I know or anyone local has joined. If people are all over the place then you can't do this which is a pity

Indeed, I have tried to put myself on frappr, but it cant find "Cage" when I do a search

If it can't find your town try somewhere near and then move the pin into correct place.

I think there should be an 'Introduce Yourself' sub-forum - with a sticky, and linked to from the home page.

The Frappr map has a link on the home page but I will give the topic about it a nudge so that newer members who don't know about it might see it.

 

Anyway... if you live in a cage you probably have more pressing matters than putting yourself on the map

I agree. Thats how I have seen it done on some other forums I regulate. I should have posted an introduction really, but I fear it is now too late lol.
