I have to move a desk because it's a fire hazard and it will mean running a 15m vga cable (through an active splitter) and I also need to get the keyboard/mouse connected. This has to be done on the cheap, so do I buy an £85 wireless keyboard/mouse or use a couple of these? UNBRANDED|MIT-1|USB EXTENDER | CPC. Or is there another solution?

why £85 wireless keyboard and mouse? you can get some for about 20/25? I'm sure we had a logitech cordless desktop for about £30 at one point

I got an £18 one for the hall and I'm forever having to get it going again. It needs to be able to reach 15m plus and have a reliable multi-channel capability for when we put more into adjacent classrooms. Localuk, if you're saying the Trust one fits the bill then I trust you.

I wouldn't say it would manage 15m though. I've taken mine to 5m and it was fine. 15m would likely be a bit much IMO. (Can't test it, as I don't have 15m of space to test that in).

EDIT: Trust only recommend up to 3m, so 15m would be completely out.

Have you heard of a product called Gyromouse? I've bought these in the past and although not cheap (although I don't think they were £85) the range on them is incredible.

We had one in the hall that the kids wrecked. You're right, they go for miles, which might be an issue.
