Good Morning all,

We've just successfully upgraded moodle to 2.0.2 on our MS Windows Server 2008 and LDAP has stopped working :-(

At first I thought I'd solved it because it had been disabled in the authentication settings (upgrade must of caused it?).

I enabled it and then tried to login again with no luck.

The LDAP settings all appear to be there so I can't understand what the issue could be?

Has anyone had a similar issue? If so how did you solve it?

Any advice/help appreciated.

Many thanks

Any ideas??? I'm tearing what little hair I have left out here!

I've been through and checked/changed/changed back all the LDAP settings in moodle with no luck.

At the same time we upgraded php and I've checked and LDAP is enabled there.

All I get is the incorrect password message on the login screen.

It was all working fine for the 2 years before running this upgrade to 2.0.2!?!?!

Quick update:

Ok, I've added a new user to AD and tried to login to it in moodle, worked perfectly....

So my problem is with users that have already logged onto moodle before the upgrade.

Is there any files I should of changed during the upgrade process regarding existing users?

Thanks

Dan

Hi there to add to this we now can create new users and delete them, also if we delete a current user they can log back into moodle fine.

So for a long shot we thought okay we will delete all users as it looks like their passwords have been lost and tried to bulk delete but it throws up the error 'Authentication plugin ldapcapture not found.' and I'm not too overly keen to go through and delete every user 1 by 1 when there are 996 users !!

Moodle is set to auth using LDAP, with regards to each user. Until you've deleted them and re logged in you can't even get in to edit them.

It just says

Sorry the service is unavailable.

Once deleted and gone back in the user is recreated and you can edit them.

It's soo frustrating!

Oh hang on I read ldap capture up there, that's an addon module (certainly in 1.9 days....).

What did you upgrade FROM to 2.0.2 ? (have you got a copy of the ldap capture module installed ... I don't see one for 2.0 but then I've not used 2.0)

It's different to the normal ldap auth module (again, certainly in 1.9 days)
