I've recently updated the server (2003 server) and Sharepoint has stopped working. All I get now is website declined to show this page. I've tried various things already posted on the internet but still no joy. Any suggestions more than welcome.

Hi

Yes all services are running. Tried running config wizard, tried changing IIS setting to run as Local System as suggested on a sharepoint blog, but no joy.

Is the website declined to show this page a Sharepoint error that's coming through, or something from IIS?

If it's from IIS, does inetmgr show everything running as normal?

Hi

I think that IIS is working okay. Since running config wizard the sharepoint central administration page works. It didn't last week? but still no main sharepoint pages. The default web site on IIS gives the usual under construction message.

under construction normally means its fitting your IIS fine - open IIS Manager and check which websites have started. Ensure that your SharePoint IIS Site has started. You may need to stop another for it to work.

Which IP address(es) is it bound to?

The other sites shouldn't be able to run if they're sharing port and IP, so it may not be bound correctly.

You've not got a default page set up in IIS, so it's trying to do directory browsing when you go to the site instead. If you go to the site in IIS Manager you should be able to set up default.aspx as the default page, which'll fix the problem.
