Is anyone using Camtasia to produce e-learning material for their VLE?

I think the title says it all really. I got hold of a trial copy of Camatsia 7.1 recently and I've found it easy to use, but possibly a little limited in what it can produce.

theres an open source copy called CamStudio, free and just as good as camtasia!

 

Doing help vids with it is great, but like camtasia id always use it in conjunction with something like adobe premiere (or premiere elements, or any decent vid editing software) to create the finished articles. They go well with either voice commentary or Text to speech.

 

My first IT job was for a dot.com bubble startup making instructional videos for the likes of Office etc. Went bust when the rest did but gave me a years experience on camtasia lol.

I was looking to use it for more than simply screen recording. I want to see how good it is at creating media rich experiences (sorry for the flimflam, I can't think of a better phrase), with some interaction, and SCORM compatible.
