Local Printers and Citrix

Our teachers are using Citrix to log in from home - and have a problem printing.

 

The problem - applications in citrix only detect the user sessioned printers on the school network, and are not detecting their local printers they have connected at home. We only have 2 applications available through citrix - Word and SIMS - and both are affected.

 

Obviously this is proving to be a little irritating for the teachers concerned. We've dug around in the settings, googled the problem, all to no avail - and they are refusing to accept 'we don't know' as an answer.

AFAIK this is normal.

 

My wife has been using remote access to her school for a while now and she can only print to printers in school.

I Have come across this before and it is because the print driver for your home printer needs to be installed on the server before it becomes available on the remote connection. Hope this Helps.
