cookie_monster Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 I have a friend that's just moved in to a new place and the phone isn't connected, but there is a physical line in place. They rang BT and they said they can't connect it until March. I can't see any way around this as there's no cable companies in their area, can anyone suggest a way to speed things up or are they at the mercy of BT's awful service? Cheers.

EduTech Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 It does seem quite a long time, i know that sometimes there can be a pain if the previous tenants have not disconnected the phone line or/ ended there contract with supplier. that normally makes it take around 6 weeks... so could that be the case maybe? -- As for getting something in there for the time being, i not sure what you can unless there is a BT-OPENZONE near there which you can use (normally get usage free if your on a Contract with Data )(3G).
