goodhead Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 I have an issue that could require us to del all profiles. When ever a user logs onto a pc that they haven't been on before office 2003 will try to do a first run routine. This annoys some users. Is there a way to tell office not to do this. so we can then go ahead and use del prof etc to ditch profiles. We deploy office via gpo.

featured_spectre Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 I use mandatory and it works fine here. There is an option VIA gpo to skip first run... said gpo is available from Microsoft...not sure where though but I got it from there and works fine
Gibbo Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Same as Nephilim. You can avoid some "first run" instances by deleted any STUBPATH entries in HKLM - SOFTWARE - MICROSOFT - ACTIVE SETUP - INSTALLED COMPONENTS
p858snake Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 I believe there is a office admin template for Group Policy that has options to disables things like the first run window.
