I have just had reported that one particular member of staff is receive All staff emails twice.

My thought was that somebody has left and set there email account to forward to this persons mailbox but all the people whos account we have checked (that left) it hasn't been setup.

Any other ideas as to why?

Is this particular person somehow a member of another mailgroup that has been included within the dstribution list?

Has this user setup any rules on their account that may not have been configured correctly?

I checked the logs and all it shows is the email sent to the store then from the store forwarded to all the mailboxes. Hadn't thought about outlook rules will check that in the morning

Double check the users Outlook setup:

tools- email options - email accounts then view or change exsiting email account if you recieve the same message twice you may have two email addresses in there both identical or one with (1) at the end, delete the second one and apply.

Outlook only lets you have one exchange account setup - just with the ability to add mailboxes

I'm going to pop down there and look out the outlook rules in a second

Sorry the wording wasn't great. I was more wondering if there had been a manual account setup via POP etc aswell as the Exchange account.

Oh right - no all our outlooks are configured automatically using the prf file.

Have only just got around to checking - no there is no dodgy outlook rules setup - I can't see an email accounts which have been forwarded to her but I think it is just something she is going to have to live with until i work out what is causing the issue!

It is a strange one. I had one similar a few months back and that was down to a rule. Deleted that and all was well again.

Does this user have access to another PC? Possible worth seeing if the problem follows. Maybe an issue with the client machine. Have you deleted the mail account on the client and then reconfigured it?

I have just installed windows 7 on the machine with office 2010 - as she happens to be testing it out for us. It's still happening so the problems not with outlook - its server side I think
