karldenton Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 Hi, Had someone who has uninstalled the USB drivers from a laptop (not in a school). When I try to reinstall the drivers It can locate them but I get the message: "This operation requires an interactive window station". I have removed Macafee incase that was stopping it but still the same. Any ideas please ? Thanks

stonej Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 Disable System Restore on C: ! It is doing 'clever' things with drivers etc so that Windows can't find them... As can be seen by the multiple copies of the usbstor.* files (base usb drivers) under System32 and subfolders.
