BETT Countdown - 10 Days and Counting

I feel a bit cheated here. I still have way to much work to do for BETT prep, and I have to be in work tomorrow to start on it!

It also seems like a world away for the stand staff who only have to start arriving at the hotel a week Tuesday, whereas Tony, Shaun and I shall already have been in London for 4 days (I have to travel down next Saturday) because we are having a stand at the Learning Without Frontiers Conf (Learning Without Frontiers - LWF London Conference Jan 9th - 11th, 2011) after Graham Brown-Martin, their founder, kindly invited us.

So,

 

Many large boxes packed and stacked in corner of office ready for the couriers - Check

 

Server Room in a Box and exhibitor passes offloaded to Ric - Check

 

Large holdall with stand backdrop and banner to Ric - Check

 

Several weeks worth of bills, invoices and paperwork still to sort out, and laying all over my desk - Check

 

Constant harrasment of Shaun - Check

 

Gut feeling that we are going to 'forget' something important - Check

 

Basically, I just want to get there, because once there it is far to late to worry about anything else. I need beer...........

 

 

P.S. No, We still don't know what night the exhibitors party is!

Exhibitors party will be Thursday again.

 

BETT awards are on Wednesday evening, and so is TEDxOrenda (which will be held in the Apex Room at Olympia with a brilliant range of interesting speakers http://www.think-bank.com/tedx/ for more details).

 

Thursday will be the exhibitors bash (usually until about 8-ish) and for those interested in combining Blue Sky with real world effective use of technology then TeachMeet / Collabor8 4 Change at BETT 2011 will interest you.

 

Friday will see most exhibitors doing their own parties (and some of them seriously know how to party!) and it will also see TeachMeet@BETT2011 TeachMeet / Teachmeet @BETT 2011

Friday will see me at the TeachMeet ... what you lot get up to is your own business. Unlike you layabouts my day starts on the stand and doesn't finish until 9 most nights. Friday will finish about 11.00pm (sitting in Pizza Express for 2 hours is *still* work as far as I am concerned!)

Wednesday is the SIMS international gathering, at 4pm in one of the gathering rooms.

 

Thursday is a launch party for ESP, but don't know if it's closed invite only (?), be a pain to go there and then back for the pizza...
