Moodle RSS && Mediacat

Hi all,

 

We have a Mediacat setup in our main reception

We are also running Moodle 1.9.10 on our VLE, and 2.0.1 on our new website.

Does anyone else use both of these, and do you pull any RSS from moodle to your mediacat, and how did you set it up on screen?

Hi Techie

 

You are able to set up RSS Feeds to be displayed on any screen using the MediaCAT.

 

Edit-> Scrollers-> Select 'Add New Scroller'-> Select RSS Feed at the top and enter the URL (address) of the RSS feed in the field - you can normally copy and paste this from your web browser and then just click OK-> Create.

 

Then you are able to add this to any scene within an area by selecting a Scrolling Text-> and select the Scroller created above.

 

Then you are able to save and play this and view this via your reception display.
