preventing an IP address being used in Internet Explorer

Contextual filtering of pages looks at the actual words in the page ... and the hidden words too, whether they be metatags or ALT tags ...

This is how the good software works (Dansguardian, etc).

This means that should somone look at meebo via IP address is will be blocked due to the number of times 'meebo' appears.

Also ... if the try to resolve the IP address ... as soon as they stick meebo in there it will block them too ...

Yes, it means that when you try to search for meebo and how to block it you will be blocked too unless you have a different access level to the students, or you are searching on sites that do not apply the contextual / tect filters ... it might be an idea to get EduGeek.net put onto the whitelist so no filters are applied ... the same with technet and so on.

If you have your own dansguardian box then it will also filter by keywords ... it is the same sort of technology.
