We are an ICT support company so I wanted to ask before putting up a link to the site, is it poor form to post a link to an ICT support company website for constructive feedback - if so I won't do it. Guest Guest Posted December 12, 2010 Posted December 12, 2010 Looks quite nice considering its black. Personally I would avoid black. Its flash; with HTML5 coming very soon and Apples phasing out of flash imo I'd change now before too much work is put into it.

I'm afraid the use of Flash is out of our hands at the moment although I have to agree it is already tying our hands with iPhones and iPads not supporting it. The platform we've built the website on is currently only Flash based but I have been assured that HTML5 will be made available and a Mobile-based platform also developed. The error message quite a concern - has anyone else found this?
kmount Posted December 12, 2010 Posted December 12, 2010 It just crashed my browser which wasn't very nice of it but then I suspect that was flash's fault not the sites'. I've not had that error myself but you can ignore the failed password attempts having clicked on the little button subliminally asking me to click it and ask me for a password. If it was me I'd probably remove the visible hit counter from the bottom but of course it's important to record the statistics for your own use. 1
maniac Posted December 12, 2010 Posted December 12, 2010 If I'm honest I'm not keen on the colour scheme as I find it hard to read white text on a black background. I do quite like the green, but think the rest of the colour scheme could do with a lift to make it look more modern, fresh and inviting. Look at any site selling this type of service, and they'll always be predominantly white background with good use of strong (normally primary) colours. There's a reason for this - because it works well and appeals. Just my opinion. Mike. 1

You received huge amounts of organic traffic through searching You were taking payment online You had your helpdesk based through wix in flash Although I totally understand what previous posters are saying... but for me it's more of a show-case than a method of getting business... the likelihood is that you're calling/contacting clients in the first place? I don't like the idea of using a 3rd party to host though, what if wix goes down? You are at their mercy! @MODS/Admins - all links are nofollow, right? It didn't stop the page loading as such but it's frustrating trying to read something when your browser status bar is waiting for stuff to finish loading after you've read a paragraph! It took a good 30 seconds for this to say done but it didn't affect my use of the site just a bit frustrating. I'm on a fast PC with a very fast internet connection. 1

Otherwise this could be a good way for someone to boost PR on google... xD I was a little worried people might see it like this - is there a way for me to edit it so that it is a nofollow link? Thanks to all who have posted so far, it's given me quite a few things to think about - will definitely look into the colour scheme and forward the speed issues and flash concerns onto WiX to get their take on it.

It worked fine on my ubuntu machine using google chrome. Plus also just displayed fine in Firefox version 3.6.12
