Casio Projectors won't last the distance

We bought loads of the original Casio aj130 models and we've had the highest failure rate of any projector model ever on them! Loads of issues like failing to power on, spotty displays or big pixelated sections have made for lots of warranty calls.

 

I like the idea of the led projectors but the Casio ones have been a bit of a nuisance here compared to the vastly cheaper and more reliable bulb InFocus models we also use!

Predominantly Epsons here with S3/4, EB-X and X5e range, save for 1 Hitachi, 1 NEC and 1 Promethean, would recommend them, especially on the later EB ranges, they have decent images and now a much improved lifespan with the bulbs (ECO is excellent on the EB ranges)

Yep i love the eco mode. still good brightness in well lit rooms. (i think i turned eco mode off in a few X9's now due not being bright enough. But making them last the extra 1000 hours is well worth it.

For short throw stuff we've been loving the Epson EB-595Wi and related models. Packed full of features and nicely priced too.

Been converting to the slimline casio LED models since 2012 and very very few issues. a couple of units had an issue but the customer service was excellent. Only a handful of lamp taking models left now. Fingers crossed!
