Bit of a head-scratcher here, don't know if anyone has encountered it before on here. Google not helping much.

We have a mix of Server 2003, 2008 and 2008R2 DCs. I'm looking to phase out the remaining 2003 DCs, but a couple of things are holding me back. The main one being - access to remote Disk Management on XP machines. I use this quite often, and while the 2003 DCs will happily connect to the Disk Management Service on the XP machines, the 2008 and R2 DCs won't, giving a 'Unable to connect to Virtual Disk Service' error. They can connect to Windows 7 machines fine though.

Is this just an incompatibility? Seems a shame, as it holds me to 2003 for a good while yet.
