[android] Galaxy S Calendar Problems

I've introduced Google Calendar at one school as the sec (my wife ) has an HTC legend and the head has a Galaxy S.

 

Both setup to have their own and the schools Google calendar to be displayed shown (and I've got the school one as well for testing)

 

On mine and my wife's HTCs, the calendar shows up as black text on either white or the color we've chosen for each calendar.

 

But on the Galaxy S- its white text on black or black text on coloured (which is pretty unreadable un the color is a light one)

 

(We want the school one to be blue as the school is a "blue" school )

 

Is there a way of changing calendar color scheme on a Galaxy S?

 

2nd prob is that the default "My Calendar" shows up as the default calendar on the Galaxy S with no option to remove it (unlike HTCs where you can remove it).

 

this means default entries go straight into "My Calendar" which can't be synced to a Google account

 

So basically looking for someone with a Galaxy S whos worked around these issues
