What is the difference between a SIM only normal contract and a i-phone one? You get unlimited data on some tariffs but not on the i-phone ones. Is there any way you can use an i-phone on a standard sim only tariff?

The iPhone 4 takes a micro-sim, so I imagine the iPhone sim only contract will just be one of those micro-sims as opposed to a regular sized one

EDIT:

here's what it looks like: http://shop.o2.co.uk/new-iphone/micro-sims.html

You could probably cut a standard sim down to the right size and save yourself some money

I am pretty sure you can't to be honest. I have a friend (yes I have one!) and they are on a monthly roll over contract where they already own the iPhone and they pay £15 per month to have a monthly iPhone SIM. He had to set this up as the normal SIM he had didn't work. Pretty annoying really as I get the same minutes, texts and data roaming as him, but I pay around £50 per month as I took the 'free' phone option over 2 years. Think I have could have bought two iPhones out right by the time I finish!

Hope that helps
