Well done Vettel and Red Bull, not only a win for them, but proof you don't need to use team orders :-)

Was laughing my head off at Alonso after the pitstops, karma bit him in the arse....

As much as I wanted Webber to win, I had tipped Seb at the start of the season and before it started today it was a case of anyone but Alonso. Thus, I is happy innit. :p

Well done to Renault for keeping the race interesting.

Seconded. Congrats to the MK based team for both championships. Would have preffered Webber or Hamilton but can't have everything ;)

Besides, as above anyone but Alonso who again just showed how utterly childish he is. He was schooled by Hamilton in his first year, then schooled today by someone who pays to be in F1. Enough said.

Codemasters have entered into the spirit of things and released a second patch for their coveted game "F1 2010". The patch adds a couple of settings for drivers of the Ferrari to allow them to throw items out of their cockpit as well as swear & gesticulate at passing drivers.

Lol, yeah, goes along with the push button to order your team mate out of the way ;-)

Thanks for that. Haven't seen the race yet, have it recorded ready to watch, avoided result all day, and your post title has gone and spoilt it all for me.

Did it have to be so blatent in the title?! Once again thanks. Glad I'm watching the Sunderland game live - wouldn't want you to spoil that for me.

Was an excellent race and well deserved win. Fine I'm a Mercedes GP fan (was a Brawn fan so carried over to the re-badged team) but RBR have been amazing this year was a real enjoyment watching the British F1 in person and aiming to get that sorted for the next season :)

For a team that has been round for, what, 6 seasons, to win it all is pretty good! (Although Brawn F1 did it in their first season!) But big ups to them!

Rule #1 regarding watching sporting events "later". Avoid all persons and all forms of media, be it TV, radio or internet, until you get to watch the event.

Not me guv, but I've given you somew positive rep to compensate. Apologies for the spoiler in the title, brain not engaged when posting.

Have some positive rep... shame we can't see the neg reppers, maybe they'd think twice unless someone really deserved it.

Hate it when someone announces the results when you haven't seen it yet, I had to record the Japanese GP and did as much as I could to avoid hearing/seeing the result... my alarm goes off on monday morning to ".... has won the Japanese Grand Prix!"

Still worth a watch, wasn't a bad race at all :)

@teejay: No worries mate. We had guests over the weekend, and one of the lads had paid for the 'big' fight and was waiting till he got home to watch it (and hear the result). Went to the pub for a swift one where he heard the result - £15 down the pan lol.

Just can't believe how immature people can be. If I'd offended anyone then fair play, but neg rep for a post like that?!

I'm not dissing the outstanding achievements by Brawn and now Red Bull, but neither were 'new' teams. Red Bull was originally Stewart GP, then Jaguar and finally Red Bull. Brawn F1 were BAR, the Honda, then Brawn and now Mercedes. As can be seen from the mess Toyota made and the problems the new teams this year have had, it's a much harder proposition building a team truly from scratch rather than buying an existing team.

There are restrictions in placing limiting the number of times you can give positive rep to an individual. Maybe that should be the case for neg rep too?

Ah, maybe it is already then. :)

Absolutley right teejay. However big ups to Brawn team, Ross taking on Honda 3 months before the start of the season on a shoestring budget (well, in F1 terms anyway) and going on to win it all. Compared to the amount spent by McLaren and FFFFerrari

lol, more neg rep for 'whinging' now, probably from the same person I expect. Keep it coming :)

lol

Not me. I was merely offering the ultimate advice for avoiding hearing the results of sporting events. I'm well aware of how annoying it can be myself.
