Gatt Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 Came out of work a bag of nerves, and came home a happy person.. Reason? Passed my Driving Theory Test this evening 34 out of 35 for the Mutliple Choice and 46 out of 75 for the hazard perception (passmark of 44) next step .... the practical test...
webman Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 Congratulations Gatt I scored 33 for the multi-guess part and 57 for hazards - it's a huge weight off now I bet All the best for the practical. Took me 3 tries :?
ChrisH Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 Even though I have had a car licence for 11 years and did the theory test on paper in the first year it came out I had to do the theory test on computer last year when I did my bike test. Found the hazard perception annoying and you definately need a practice at it. Think I got 33 and 50 odd for my score. The practice CD was a little crap though as sometimes I would click when I saw the hazard and it wouldnt score as it was just before the program said it was!!!!
tosca925 Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 thank god there were no theory tests when i took mine ;-)
eduabncs Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 thank god there were no theory tests when i took mine ;-) I agree...! Passed my test in 1994, passed after the 4th attempt. Got so pissed after failing on the 3rd try, that I decided to pay for a weeks intensive driving course and passed!!
Gatt Posted January 31, 2007 Author Posted January 31, 2007 @ChrisH: This is what I think happened to me in the exam - there were some clips where I seen the hazard early on, and knew it would "develop" and clicked again yet i eneded up with a low score at the end. @webman - i'm trying to beat my (younger) brothers 1 passed theory 1st time, but took 3 attempts and his practical, the other was 3 attempts and theory, passed practical 1st time - I'm lookng to pass the practical 1st time too
webman Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 If you beat them does that mean they pay 50% towards a car for you?
GrumbleDook Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 I did my theory test in the army ... 20 of us in a cold portacabin under the watchful eye independant invigilators, army instructors and the people that actually wrote it! The first group from the Army to do the written test (and one of the first groups to do it at all once it was a legal requirement) ... No pressure ... none at all.
SpuffMonkey Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 I think I passed a horse and cart during my driving test 20 odd years ago. I walked to the office after passing (1st time...glow!) and my b@stard boss threw me the keys to his brand new Jag and told me to go on an errand for him - about a 1000 point turn to get out of the car park - and complete confusion with the gears as they had some weird J shaped shift movement - I was a gibbering wreck for days...
phil_thebeans Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 Hazard perception WHAT IS THAT! Oh I know , look out here comes a teacher with an IT question like "how do I print?"
Domino Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 I had much more fun with mine.. Did it first when i did my bike licence, passed first time had to do it AGAIN for my car and it took me two attempts?!? SO I've done 3 and passed 2....go figure
