If you don't already have a good reason to then don't. Jail breaking will allow it to use apps not from the app store and non certified hardware like the ipad arcade box thing that was posted about on here a short tie ago. If you don't already have a bit of software that you really need or a bit of uncertified hardware that you have/want to use then don't bother jailbreaking it.

I asked myself the same question only last week.... did it anyway! not had any problems at all took about 2mins to do...

Got winter board which allows you to theme ways apple does not allow for example 6 icons in the bottom task bar and can get tethering to your iphone app (so if you dont have a 3g version you can use your iphones 3G access) and also thrash which is flash on a ipad works on alot of sites and does not work on alot of sites! but better than no flash....

One big thing would be so you can use flash on it. The big show stopper for me with the iPad is the lack of flash capabilities.

The probalem with jailbreaking is when there is an update you have to re-jailbreak

Why should I jailbreak my iPad

Answer: In the hope that you actually brick it therefore rendering it useless, which in turn breaks your shackles to Steve Jobs nether regions.

I was suprised at how little I miss flash on mine. I use it pretty much all the time, both in work and at home (I hardly use my laptop at all now) and it did worry me when I bought it but a few months in I hardly notice the lack of flash.

As for jailbreaking or not - I haven't on mine - it worries me that I might wreck it in some way although people don't seem to have too many problems.

Once you jailbreak it can you put it back to unjailbroken easily?

What flash do you use on a computer?
