Problem with Sony TAIT2-80N Tapes

Hello,

 

One of my schools has ordered the wrong AIT tapes, unfortunately they unwrapped them before I found out and now the supplier is refusing to take them back.

 

Does anyone have need, or know of anyone that would accept unused but unwrapped ofiical Sony TAIT2-80N 80Gb Native\208Gb Compressed tapes. These tapes do not have the memory chip installed. They cost £24.34 each but offers are welcome.

 

Alternatively, if anyone knows how to make the drive use these tapes that would be ideal - the drive accepts the tape but within a minute or so ejects it again. I assume because it can't detect the chip. The drive is a Sony SDX-560V.
