This is a development role, with scope for immediate network improvements and longer term projects, with hands-on experience required for day-to-day operational issues as they arise. The salary is negotiable depending upon relevant experience, and is expected to be not less than £30,000 with five weeks’ paid holiday per annum. The successful applicant will require vision to drive the development of the School’s IT infrastructure, good interpersonal skills as a member of the bursary team reporting to the Bursar, and expense management skills as holder of the IT development budget. Familiarity with the latest and emerging technologies and solutions is essential, including virtualization technologies and hardware. The successful applicant will be involved in recruiting a part-time technician to assist with front-line support and basic maintenance. The school has two ICT suites, and all classrooms are networked with IWB’s. There are two additional premises which require networking and technological upgrade. I was pleasantly surprised - I didn't think I had done badly in interview but wasn't too confident with my presentation, but I guess it must have been ok!
