Not my idea as i stole it from another forum but if you book off april 26th - 29th you'll have 11 days off for the cost of only 4 days leave!

 

This is due to the easter weekend holidays of friday and monday combined with the may bank holiday

Depends where your school holidays fall and if you can take holidays outside of holidays doesn't it?!

True it depends on those things, personally though we can take holiday when we like so i felt it was a bargain it's like 6 days for the price of 4 + weekends

I always like ALL of Xmas off as it's 10 days for the price of 7, but this year I think it's 11 days for the price of 8

I hate it when xmas falls on a weekend as we have to take more out of our leave entitlement. Best when it falls midweek.

Works out the same. If you want 10 days off you only ever need to take 7. Doesn't matter whether it falls On Tuesday, Saturday, or Mars.

Does it? Well there ya go. Learn something new everyday. I guess I've always been too hung up on the posibility of losing out rather than actually working it out.

Remember, if a bank holiday falls on a weekend, the Monday is taken as the bank holiday instead.

For instance this year Christmas is Saturday and Boxing Day is Sunday. Both of these are supposed to be bank holidays, so this year Monday AND Tuesday after Xmas is a bank holiday. Just because it falls on a weekend doesn't mean we lose out.
