BatchFile Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 (edited) I've got an order in for some 25m extension cables for the lighting desk in the hall. Just emailed finance to check they were ordered and got a reply "yes, they were ordered this week so they shouldn't be long" (you can see where this is going can't you?) I replied "I was rather hoping they would be long - long enough to reach the back of the hall anyway" [drum fill] Edited November 5, 2010 by BatchFile
K.C.Leblanc Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 Our finance office phoned up asking what was a Toshiba Satellite Pro and did we order it. I told them it was an intergalactic communications device. 3
gl3nnym Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 We have actually managed to get people to hold the network cable at a certain angle and point the mouse laser at the monitor to get SIMS to work properly. Unfortunately, this particular member of staff has left and nobody else will fall for it. 1
accura2000 Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 lol... glad im not the only one who would reply with something like that. Lovin it!
mdrabble Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 If you ever want to see confusion on the face of staff...... next time they complain things are running slow... tell them the speed has been adjusted to suit the speed of the user...... :-)
Rydra Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 i had a teacher complain the internet was running slowly. I suggested it was because too many people were looking at big pages on the internet, and she should try resizing her browser to as small a window as possible, to reduce bandwidth. I giggled as I left the room, and they were attempting to operate google in a box not even 6 inches across and only about 1 inch of space showing. 1
36Degrees Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 next time they complain things are running slow... tell them the speed has been adjusted to suit the speed of the user...... :-) I told a member of the admin staff this when they complained their computer was slow. She wasn't impressed and definitely didn't see the funny side...

Jawloms Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 In a similar style; User: "Please can I have a network cable?" Me: "How long?" User: "I want to keep it!"
