pritchardavid Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 Can someone confirm what works with 2008R2, if it doesnt support, what the latest it supports Also what ones support SQL Server 2008 R2 and if 32 or 64bit SIMS.net and FMS? Secro Factility and eportal?
localzuk Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 As it stands SIMS.net doesn't support 2008 R2 or SQL 2008 R2. There are reports that the prior works somewhat, but it is unofficial. SQL 2008 R2 is reported to have some issues, so the current stance is to use 2008 Server and SQL 2008. FMS is the same with SIMS.net

matt40k Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 Until later in the month... then it's 64bit all round (minus Nova-T4 etc).
john Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 SQL Server 2008 R2 is not supported by Serco for the Facility Products. SQL 2008 is the newest it supports.

Until later in the month... then it's 64bit all round (minus Nova-T4 etc). do you mean clients can be 64bit too?

That excerpt you linked to seems to indicate that 64bit clients will be supported. Obviously with the caveat of the older unsupported stuff being 16bit/32bit only.
