Bargain Bin Netbooks for Christmas?

Well, this is kinda the right forum to ask this in...

 

I've stubled across these netbooks on eBay and, y'know, I can't fault the things on price - look lovely and fit for purpose in a great way. Next step after ghasping at the lack of money I'll be handing over is to ask if anyone's got or knows of any horror stories...

 

I'm fully aware NASA won't be borrowing it for its processing might anytime soon, but would this be a decent enough Christmas present for someone do you (collectively) reckon?

At 300Mhz, I don't think you'd get much running on them...
