fox1977 Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 Hi there, I am really struggling to get a Polycom IP Soundstation 500 up and running with our IC Talk, asterik based, phone system. We have had a lot of problems getting analogue conference phones configured and working correctly on our system so we decided to take the plunge on a digital conference phone. We went with the IP 500 after reading that it is compatible with most SIP phone systems. As you can imagine, I am struggling to get it configured on our system. I have managed to get into the web based control panel after getting it setup to pick up an IP from DHCP. Here's the settings I have configured so far: Servers > Outbound proxy > Address: IP of phone system Port: 5060 Transport: udp only Server 1 > Address: IP of phone system Port: 5060 Transport: udp only Expires: 60 Register: 1 Retry Timeout: 0 Retry Maximum count: 0 Line Seize Timeout: 30 In Line i have set the following up > Display Name: extension number Address: Ext number Auth user id: password for account on phone system Label: ext number Server 1 > Address: IP of phone system Port: 5060 Transport: udp only When I try and ring the extension all I am able to get is an engaged tone as the phone hasn't properly connected upto the phone system. All I have been able to do with the phone system is to make a call to the first extension on the system by dialing the phone switch IP from the phone. Any tips gratefully received! Thanks
fox1977 Posted October 25, 2010 Author Posted October 25, 2010 The phone is actually a Soundstation IP 5000 if it makes any difference not the 500 Thanks
