Hi,

I was dabbling about within SIMS System Manager and may have done something I shouldn't with the "System Manager" user although didn't save anything I attempted to change yet when now trying to add users to groups I get the attached error. The user does still get added to the group but am not sure what I need to do to stop this error from appearing. Any ideas?

Making any changes in System Manager

Warning Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server - User or role 'SIMS_' does not exist in this database.

Where is the login name for a staff member and SIMS is the database name.

This is usually a teacher who has left and has been made inactive

Advice

This problem is a warning message and can be ignored.

To resolve the problem, please detach and re-attach the database using dbattach.

Just about to perform this. I take it i'm using the "SIMS Database Management Utility" and not ticking the "Drop SQLServer Logins" box?

:D Was a bit like that I tell ya. Never quite know when you're going to get a Unhandled exception or something along those lines ;) Anyway all went as planned and the warning no longer appears. Thanks very much.

Glad this is sorted - One of the things that has caused this error in the past is if you provision users using the ADProvisioning tool to SLG and those users are not a member of any permissions group in System Manager.
