A cheeky request to all the gfx artists out there. A couple of WJEC ICT teachers are setting up a forum/website to discuss and share resources for the various ICT based courses that the WJEC offer.

So I am working on getting phpbb up and running and also putting together a front end template - probably using Wordpress.

ANyhow, I wonder if someone could come up with a logo which says 'uujec.info' - a smart logo in print and web resolution? Transparent backgrounds etc.

Recognition of the logo will be given on the site and also a link to edugeek.

Many thanks

maybe a stupid question but what does uujec stand for, it may help people with ideas.

Haha - yes I agree. uujec is a take on WJEC - they sound the same but are spelt differently. It will be a logo to represent a forum and website (Just another WordPress site » uujec.info) for teachers of any WJEC ICT subject - for example AICT, ICT, Computing etc.

It will be for people who work in schools who are linked in someway to that course.

Not sure what else to say. The theme is now up for Wordpress - so they are the colours on the website.

The logo size for phpBB (original logo) is 139 x 52 so perhaps it would be nice to fit it into those dimensions, but that doesn't leave much scope. Can you put bigger logos onto phpBB templates? Never used it before.

Appreciate your response as always,

Gareth

OMG - Hi Cesil,

I totally forgot about this as other stuff took over inside and outside of school. Thanks - they look great and ideal for what I want. Would you mind sending them to me?

Are they transparent background?

Many thanks

Hi SysMan,

Transparent png for use on the website and forum. And a quality tiff for maybe using on printed material.

Amazing stuff - although there is a spelling mistake in the final example you showed me.
