NEC VT580 Projector (CANT RESET LAMP HOURS) GRRR

Hi i am having a problem with the said projector. I have tried pressing help also tried pressing power and exit.

 

Still no joy. Please help

if this is using the remote hold the help button down for about 5-10 sec till light goes out

ummmm......wel my projector (nec vt580) has a blinking red light on the top and i need to know how to fix this problem......the status light blinks and i have read up...if it blinks six times there isa defective lamp...but it just blinks and blinks and blinks all day... do you know why this is and how i cant fix it?

The light blinks but it blinks in a sequence, ie there is a slight pause inbetween.
