Hi

Please can someone help me.

I have set the following option to stop students locking machines.

User configuration>Admin Templates> System? C-ALT-DEL options> remove lock computer

But they are still managing it. I think they are doing it through windows key and L

Does anyone have a group policy that will stop this or a adm that I can import to stop this.

Thanks for all your help.

I think what you'll need to do is to enable the following policy;

User Configuration->Admin Templates->Windows Components->Windows Explorer->Turn off Windows+X hotkeys

in conjunction with the 'Remove Lock Computer' policy which will stop students from using either way to lock their machines.

This does disable all the other WinKey+? shortcuts as well, but as none of them are required by our students it hasn't been a problem for us.

Thanks I have just checked and this one is enable to, but I still have the problem.

Has anyone else got any ideas.

Thanks

on one of the clients do a gpresult to see if the relevant policies are applying and also do a gpupdate /force and reboot and when you log back on do a gpresult again to see if it applies
