Forefront deployment/MOM 2005 - RPC error

I'm trying to deploy Forefront from Server 2008 to Windows 7 clients using the MOM 2005 Administrator Console. I've added port exceptions (tcp and udp) 1270, 135 and 445, on the server and client, but always get an error:

Error Code: -2147023174

Error Description: The RPC server is unavailable.

 

If I turn off the client firewall, it installs fine. The most detailed page addressing this problem (on winserverkb.com) suggested adding the program exception:

%systemdrive%\\A286B00A-C3DE-414F-A96A-2BD238948D88\\MsMgmtAuxiliary.exe

but this didn't help either.

 

Has anyone encountered this and know what ports to open/programs to allow?

Does it even work on windows 7?

 

I've been waiting for the new version of forefront before deploying it after reading somewhere it wasn't supported yet.
