BBrian Posted October 11, 2010 Posted October 11, 2010 I'm trying to deploy Forefront from Server 2008 to Windows 7 clients using the MOM 2005 Administrator Console. I've added port exceptions (tcp and udp) 1270, 135 and 445, on the server and client, but always get an error: Error Code: -2147023174 Error Description: The RPC server is unavailable. If I turn off the client firewall, it installs fine. The most detailed page addressing this problem (on winserverkb.com) suggested adding the program exception: %systemdrive%\\A286B00A-C3DE-414F-A96A-2BD238948D88\\MsMgmtAuxiliary.exe but this didn't help either. Has anyone encountered this and know what ports to open/programs to allow?
zag Posted October 11, 2010 Posted October 11, 2010 Does it even work on windows 7? I've been waiting for the new version of forefront before deploying it after reading somewhere it wasn't supported yet.
