DAZZD88 Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 The guy I work with has a HTC HD2 and seems to have poor signal in our office. I generally have poor signal at home with my SE C902 but in our office I usually get a decent 3G signal. As soon as he used an old mobile with the same sim card, his signal improved drastically. My question is, are all HTCs the same or will I be safe enough gettign the Desire? I would hope so, I think they've got a few features more useful to me than the iPhone. I know a few people on here have the Desire and I can imagine a few have the HD2 as well.
korifugi Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 I personally have no problems with signal on my Desire - once in a blue moon I'll get a "Message not sent - retrying" when sending a text, but if you give it a sec to sort itself out then it's fine.
LeMarchand Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 My HD2's reception is pretty much the same as my previous 2 phones. Unfortunately that means iffy at home and poor at 2 of my 4 sites.
DAZZD88 Posted October 6, 2010 Author Posted October 6, 2010 So sounds like it may just be the HD2 then? The guy I work with reckons it could be down to the OS being Windows Mobile rather than Android, could this be true?
DAZZD88 Posted October 6, 2010 Author Posted October 6, 2010 Is he holding it correctly Hmm...yeah. Lol. I thought of that but he has signal problems even when he's not holding it.
ICT_GUY Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 Desire is my best phone yet for signal, works very well for voice and data, a little shaky on texts sometimes but that's three for you. WAY better than any Nokia I have ever owned.
tech_guy Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 I haven't had any problems at all with the signal on my Desire but has anyone else had problems with the auto-rotate screen function since the 2.2 Froyo update?
creese Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 I haven't had any problems at all with the signal on my Desire but has anyone else had problems with the auto-rotate screen function since the 2.2 Froyo update? Mine is fine, it's fast and works in 3 positions unlike my old Magic's slow 2 positions.
tech_guy Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 I'm finding it loses the plot sometimes when I access messaging, email or the browser and seems to make its own mind up which orientation it's using irrespective of how the phone is held. Sometimes it doesn't respond when I change the orientation. Perhaps my phone is faulty?
