eCAF Training in Northamptonshire

Just thought I'd let everyone know I have gotten out of attending the eCAF training as it does not apply to special schools (we are post eCAF).

Are you talking about the eCAF training or the security training? The security training is free and covers a lot of areas which schools should deal with anyway. Did you read the PWIS document and Gap Analysis? What was your take on it?

Both myself and Modey (Dom) have already submitted our forms to go on the training, actually looking forward to it

The security training. The aspects apply, but we already comply with all of those and more so (Children’s Workforce Practitioners, NHS etc).

 

I have checked with Michelle Cole about the gap analysis, who said that as we don't have any dealings with CAF assessments on children then Wrenn Spinney does not need to be accredited. Which is just as well as I'm already booked on a course at ACE that week.

Two problems with this:

 

1. I may be away on holiday when the training is on so would need to send a bod in my place.

2. I have no documents etc with information about this. Who do I talk to at the school about this and who else needs to know/should know about it?

Drop Michelle a line tomorrow to explain that you may not be able to go. I can always come over and walk you through some bits as I already have to 2 schools (trying to do it collectively though).

The best person to speak with to see what they are doing policy wise at your school is likely to be your Child Protection Officer.
