The Arthur Terry School is seeking to develop our ICT functionality to support our World Class Vision with the provision of a Virtual Learning Environment accessible to students, staff and parents.

 

Our goal is to enable all of our stake holders to have anytime access to work areas, assessment, and attendance data, timetables, lunch nutritional data, library loans and much more.

 

The competencies we require are in the following areas:

 

• MSSQL 2005/2008

Database integration linking to web pages

 

• PHP, MySQL, JavaScript and CSS skills

Experience in writing and developing components for interrogating data

 

• VB scripting

 

• HTML

Skills applicable to web 2.0 design and construction

 

• Web development

 

• Use of Open Source products

 

• Knowledge of MS Sharepoint and webparts

 

The salary, hours and terms and conditions of the post are subject to negotiation for the right person who can offer the skills and expertise required.
