Sivadam Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 Well it was working at the time of my last post but I can't get in now!
creese Posted September 27, 2010 Author Posted September 27, 2010 (edited) Yeh, that's what it's like here. It must be the new YoYo v2.1 software they are using. It's hopeless. Edited September 27, 2010 by creese
Rawns Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 Appears to be down again? Just sitting on the large 'S' (possibly ripped from the IE logo?) going nowhere fast.
creese Posted September 27, 2010 Author Posted September 27, 2010 Some kind of announcement would be good, save wasting time trying to login.
Rawns Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 Some kind of announcement would be good, save wasting time trying to login. Your Avatar sums up my feelings of SupportNet nicely.
creese Posted September 27, 2010 Author Posted September 27, 2010 Your Avatar sums up my feelings of SupportNet nicely. My head hurts and there is a dent in my desk.
creese Posted September 27, 2010 Author Posted September 27, 2010 I keep trying to post it on the forum but it never stays live long enough.
PhilNeal Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 I suspect it is working, at least for most cases or we would have said something. Creese have you been contacted? Thanks Phil
creese Posted September 28, 2010 Author Posted September 28, 2010 I suspect it is working, at least for most cases or we would have said something. Creese have you been contacted? Thanks Phil Not personally, but my colleague has. I'm able to log in today but still unable to download a report def, we are going to have a really annoyed Headteacher if I can't get a report for him, or an annoyed (more so) if I have to start from scratch. Spoke too soon, now can't get in again.
pete Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 Has supportnet been up and down like a yoyo for everyone else this afternoon? Currently we're getting a "can't find the page" on login from Capita Children's Services - Home and the forums were horribly broken earlier.
matt40k Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 Guess I've been lucky then. Still can't download anything from the user posts however.
creese Posted September 28, 2010 Author Posted September 28, 2010 Been like it for a week and a half, way beyond a joke now. I've tried it at home and it's still the same so not local firewalls or anything.
creese Posted September 29, 2010 Author Posted September 29, 2010 Likewise! Sorry Now you seem to have FINALLY accepted there is and has been a problem for 10 days or so. Any chance it will be fixed in the near future? Perhaps then we as a team can stop hours of our wasting time trying to log calls, download notes etc and find fixes?????
creese Posted September 29, 2010 Author Posted September 29, 2010 Just had yet ANOTHER email asking if SupportNet is still giving us problems. YES!!!! FIX IT!!!!
matt40k Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 Have they at least emailed you the report?
creese Posted September 29, 2010 Author Posted September 29, 2010 Have they at least emailed you the report? I'd have to score them 0/10 for help and response. I'd guess the Head who wants these reports would score less. With all the time I wasted trying to download I could have designed it from scratch. Hindsight eh.!
creese Posted September 29, 2010 Author Posted September 29, 2010 Now this is helpful. We are being asked for a screen shot of the error. Hmmmm. A screenshot of a page not loading...... a screenshot of the progress bar not moving...... I wonder, how about a nice photo of paint drying and a copy of 'How not to run a helpdesk,,,, and alienate your callers' by C A Pita.
Rawns Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 This is really taking the Michael now. This site is sooooo inconsistent!!! >
creese Posted September 29, 2010 Author Posted September 29, 2010 Great, SupportNet Update emailed today. That's 35 new shortcuts to a static progress bar.
PhilNeal Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 We think we’ve traced the route of this to intermittent problems with some of the older server infrastructure. A reboot looks like it has fixed it for now but we are still keeping it under observation. New hardware is due to be installed.

Sorry to disapoint but still no download, looks like I'll be using out of date notes on my course tomorrow. That should turn a few users against SIMS. Now I can't log in again. PhilNeal Posted September 30, 2010 Posted September 30, 2010 Creese, I'm beginning to think this could be at your end. Please log a call so that we can investigate. Thanks Phil
