tesh Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 Hi, How do you change the image on the Ctrl-Alt-Delete logon box for windows XP, Just in the process of rebuilding few machines and want to add the schools logo in there instead of the Microsoft one. cheers
Azhibberd Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 Basically you can use software that will do it for you, Or you can download Resourse Hacker and edit, msgina.dll (Found in c:\WINDOWS\system32\), Then copy a new msgina.dll called a different name (i just do msgina2.dll), Then put a new registry in [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon] , "Ginadll"="msgina2.dll"
plexer Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 Erm no you can't because that's against the Microsoft EULA. Ben
Azhibberd Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 Erm no you can't because that's against the Microsoft EULA. Ben Its one of those things that are possible, But plexer would be correct that its against EULA!
