LGFL CMS - thoughts .. opinions ..

Afternoon all..

 

Right, well just been in a meeting this morning with regards to our school website and basically, long story short, despite my recommendations to go for WordPress (I tried Joomla, but the staff just weren't getting it) and the work I put into setting one up, it's now been decided that actually we are going with the LGFL CMS system instead. The reasons are fair enough in that out ICT Teacher is an AST so needs to be able to understand and offer the Lancashire kit, but equally I think needs to be able to show a diverse approach, but hey, jobs for the boys ..

 

Anyway, as we're going down this route, I just though I'd see if anyone out there uses it and what they make of it all? Good, bad, indifferent?

It's OK not as flexible as Joomla, I'd leave it to the AST to maintain, it was after all their choice

Suggesting leaving it to someone else to maintain speaks volumes about your personal thoughts about it there! lol ..

I guess .. end of the day .. if it doesn't do what they want, I can say "I know, let's go back to WordPress / Joomla and I'll charge a nominal fee per school to set them up too" .. lol ..

i think its ok does what we need to do, and its simple for a none ICT person to update items etc. My mate works their and has spent some time trying to add new features in like the ones currently on our website Broughton Business & Enterprise College : to make the website more slick and professional compared to the one we had before from LGFL its miles better.
